BARRETT DOYLE//Director & Scenic Designer

Barrett Doyle is an Atlanta based artist, originally from Clearwater, Florida. He has worked as a scenic designer, videographer, photographer, fine artist, actor and producer. He came to Atlanta after graduating with his BFA in Performing Arts from the Savannah College of Art & Design. Following his completion of the professional acting internship at Atlanta’s Actor's Express Theatre, Barrett has gone on to work with many Atlanta theaters as both an actor and designer. These include Actor's Express, the Alliance, Aurora, Essential Theatre Festival, Georgia Shakespeare, Pinch 'n Ouch, Synchronicity, Theatre du Reve, Weird Sisters Theatre Project, and Working Title Playwrights. In addition to working theatrically, Barrett has appeared on screen on shows such as Dead Silent, Halt & Catch Fire, and Ozark to name a few, and behind on the camera on a number of independent productions. In 2016 he co-founded Catalyst Arts Atlanta, a collaborative multidisciplinary group of theatre and fine artists seeking to foster exciting new works and rediscover the classics in inventive and immersive formats. Barrett performed and co-designed the group's inaugural suzi-nominated production of Naomi Wallace's The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek. Barrett has recently been involved with Sky Creature Productions, an award winning and groundbreaking production company, dedicated to the creation of unique and immersive theatrical experiences, which blur the lines between art, installation and performance.

JOEL COADY//Taylor

Joel Coady is a Producer and Actor in Catalyst Arts Atlanta's production of K2. A founding member of Catalyst, Joel has worked closely with the company as a designer for Trestle at Pope Lick Creek and as a producer for SILO. Joel is also the Director of Production at Serenbe Playhouse. His work around Atlanta can also be seen at the Alliance Theater, Serenbe Playhouse, 7 Stages, Synchronicity Theatre, Aurora Theatre, The Goat Farm, The Atlanta Jewish Academy, Pace Academy, Georgia State College, and Georgia Perimeter College.

DAN FORD//Harold

Dan Ford is an Atlanta transplant who hails from Benton, Illinois. Since he moved to Atlanta in 2011 he has performed in numorous productions at theatres all across the metro area such as: Actor’s Express, Georgia Shakespeare, Georgia Ensemble, Atlanta Lyric Fabrefaction, Aurora Theatre & Stage Door Players. Dan recieved his formal acting training from Webster University’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts. While obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts he had his first professional gig in The Pillowman produced by the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. After college, Dan moved to New York City where he was selected to participate in an Apprenticeship with the Bloomsberg Theatre Ensemble in Pennsylvania. Dan has also toured with American Family Theatre and The National Theatre for Children. When Dan is not performing he is the Operations Manager with Buckhead Beans a wholesale coffee company. Dan has been involved in many grassroots production but never one from the ground up. He is thrilled to collaborate with Catalyst Arts and hopes with your support will be inspired to create more groundbreaking theatre in the future.

SHELBY MAYS//Stage Manager

Shelby Mays, a new member to Catalyst Arts Atlanta, is the Executive Assistant at Serenbe Playhouse and has lived in Atlanta for about 2 years. After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Montevallo, she was excited to return to the Serenbe woods as the stage manager for Grease in 2017. Shelby's other stage management credits include: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Serenbe Playhouse), The Sleepy Hollow Experience (Brian Clowdus Experiences), and Big River (Brian Clowdus Experiences). Shelby spent the summer of 2015 at the Weston Playhouse Theatre Company as a Company Management intern, and later the Company Manager of the 2016 season. She has found that her passion is working in site specific art that connects a community to a story it needs to hear, and taking an audience out of their everyday into something totally new. She is now so excited to join her passion with Catalyst on their many adventures.

LIZ SCHAD//Props Designer & Box Office Manager

Liz is an Atlanta native with a BFA in Acting/Directing and has been a member of Catalyst since 2017. She has held many titles in both the Theatre and Film communities - including Actor, Writer, Director, Stage Manager, Designer, Filmmaker - but nothing compares to being called a Collaborator. While holding these positions she has had the privilege of working with Fabrefaction Theatre Co, Pinch 'N Ouch, the Atlanta Lyric, Found Stages, Actors Express, and IAF Media. She is currently represented by Classic Talent and looks forward to collaborating with anyone interested in pushing boundaries and engaging audiences.

BENNETT WALTON//Composer

Bennett is an Atlanta native with a BFA in Film & Television from Savannah College of Art and Design, as well as an Associates Degree in Music & Technology from the Atlanta Institute of Music & Media.  At SCAD, he fostered his interest in the narratives we use to spark empathy, new perspectives, and motivations for ourselves and others; At AIMM, he developed his musical talent, teaching his fingers to tell stories through his six string while developing the know-how to capture it digitally.  Now he’s putting the passions of his heart, hands, and mind to use composing music, performing as a musician in musicals, working on sound design, and generally crafting the soundscape of the work and the world around him. Loud by trade, quiet by design.

MARANDA DEBUSK//Lighting Designer

Maranda is a freelance theatre artist specializing in Lighting and Projection designs. Currently traveling from theatre to theatre across the U.S., Maranda's recent work in Atlanta includes: lighting designs for Serenbe Playhouse’s The Seagull,  Synchronicity Theatre’s Ripe Frenzy, and  Aurora Theatre’s Be Here Now and Throw Me on the Burnpile and Light Me Up (Suzi Nominated for Outstanding Lighting Design). Internationally her work has been featured at the World Stage Design Expo in Taipei, Taiwan (2017), and the Prague Quadrennial (2019). At the core of all her work is her belief in the power of the dramatic arts to create positive change in our communities. The greatest work is that which when let out into the world, improves it. She is thrilled to be working with Catalyst for the first time. Hopefully the first of many.

MALLORY CHAMPLIN//Costume Designer

Mallory studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design and graduated magna cum laude in 2018 with a BFA in Costume Design. Having experience in designing for dance, film, and theatre, her skills include: aging and dying fabrics, draping and pattern-drafting, leatherwork, millinery, and wig styling. She is thrilled to be designing her first show, K2, since moving to Atlanta, and working with the talented and creative team at Catalyst!

LEE ANNE MEEKS//Dramaturg

Lee Anne Meeks, a collaborative theatermaker, has particular passion for lighting design and dramaturgy.  Previous dramaturgy credits include: Titanic (Serenbe Playhouse), Cabaret (Vassar College), and Violet (Vassar College). Favorite lighting design credits include: The Snow Queen (Serenbe Playhouse), Richard III (Shakespeare on Draught), and The Cherry Orchard (Vassar College). Additionally, she has acted as a design assistant on: The Seagull (Serenbe Playhouse), The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (Synchronicity Theatre), and Seven Deadly Sins (Atlanta Opera).
